#119 of #175 High Quality Giclee Robert “Rob” Gonsalves (July 10, 1959 ? June 14, 2017) was a Canadian painter of magic realism (surrealism). He produced original works, limited edition prints and illustrations for his own books. His style is similar to that of Salvador Dal? or Ren? Magritte. Although Gonsalves’ work is often categorized as surrealistic, it differs because the images are deliberately planned and result from conscious thought. Ideas are largely generated by the external world and involve recognizable human activities, using carefully planned illusionist devices. Gonsalves injects a sense of magic into realistic scenes. As a result, the term “Magic Realism” describes his work accurately. His work is an attempt to represent human beings’ desire to believe the impossible, to be open to possibility. Gonsalves exhibited at Art Expo New York and Los Angeles, Decor Atlanta and Las Vegas, Fine Art Forum, as well as one-man shows at Huckleberry Fine Art, Marcus Ashley Gallery in South Lake Tahoe, Hudson River Art Gallery, Saper Galleries, Discovery Galleries, Ltd., and Kaleidoscope Gallery.

Once you purchase an item at Raleigh Furniture Gallery, you’re welcome to pick it up directly from our store or nearby offsite storage. We kindly ask that you give us a call at least one business day before arriving to ensure that we have the appropriate staff available to assist with loading your item and to confirm that your purchase is ready for pickup. Delivery

We are pleased to offer local white glove delivery at a flat rate starting at $150. Shipping

We offer worldwide shipping, having successfully shipped items as far as Indonesia. Shipping costs can vary significantly depending on the item’s size, weight, and destination. Hold Policy

After purchase, we will happily hold your item(s) for 30 days without charge. Any holds longer than this will result in a storage fee of $50 per item for each additional month.

Return Policy

For a full refund – Items are able to be returned by the end of the next business day with a receipt and in the original condition for a full refund.
Need more time? – If you would like additional time to ensure the piece is right for you, we will accept a return within one week of purchase with a receipt and in the original condition minus a 10% restocking fee.
